The optimal application of EU resources for Hungary and their utilization to enhance growth were identified as key tasks by Minister of State for Economic Strategy at the Ministry for National Economy Zoltán Cséfalvay at an international conference on European growth prospects in Budapest organized by the European Commission Representation in Hungary on Friday.

Minister of State Cséfalvay emphasized the importance of cohesion policy as it assists less developed regions close the gap with richer peers, and also underlined that recovery from the crisis necessitates institutional reforms in the EU and national reform programmes in member countries. The Commission also considers the creation of jobs a priority and several measures introduced in the past two years are consequently aimed at stimulating the labour market, he added.
