The state is making every possible effort to encourage investment and there will be new resources and new options available for this between 2014 and 2020, Minister of State Zoltán Cséfalvay told public television M1.

In the upcoming EU budget period, the Government plans to increase spending to strengthen SMEs by 50% to nearly 1,100 billion forints (EUR 3.7m) compared to the current budget period, he added. Under the arrangements of preliminary strategic agreements with member countries, the EU is ready to finance 11 thematic targets, Mr Cséfalvay said.

The Government has submitted its draft for consultations between the various directorates-general and the results will be available by the end of July. After further developing the draft and preparing operative programmes, Hungary currently expects to submit the final partnership agreement in November.
