The 7th cell of the HDF National Support Element stationed at Kabul, Afghanistan may not seem so significant in terms of its strength. Its tasks and responsibilities, however, are all the more significant. Except for the northern region, this cell is responsible for supporting and supplying all Hungarian troops deployed in the Afghanistan theatre of war.

Ramadan has started in Afghanistan. The faithful abstain from eating, drinking, smoking, cleaning, sex and violence from dawn to dusk. Ramadan – one of the five pillars of Islam – is obligatory for all Muslims. This year, it is from July 10 to August 9.

The handover-takeover process between the 6th and 7th rotations of the HDF National Support Element Afghanistan (HUN NSE) has entered its last phase. The logisticians – who have done the main share of the work in closing down the Hungarian Defence Forces Provincial Reconstruction Team (HUN PRT) in the period since May 19 – shared the lessons learned in the last six months and handed over the system of relationships with other nations and the tasks to the members of the incoming rotation.
