The Hungarian Government has extended the mandates of HDF contingents serving in Afghanistan. The PRT (Provincial Reconstruction Team), the AMT (Air Mentor Team) and the OMLT (Operational Mentor and Liaison Team) will make further contributions to help the Central Asian country stand on its own feet as soon as possible.
The resolution of the Hungarian Government No 1078/2011 has extended the mandate of PRT until October 1, 2011. The Hungarian contingent deployed to Pol-e Khomri has been contributing to the reconstruction of Baghlan province since 2006.
Over the last period of time the Hungarian Government has prioritized training and mentoring.
