Pol-e Khomri, Baghlan Province

Mandate: until March 1, 2013

Currently the PRT-13 rotation is serving under Col. Antal Sipos.
The HUN PRT-13 contingent is deployed in the area of operations between September 2012 and March 2013.

Based in Pol-e Khomri, the 110-strong HUN PRT is responsible for handing over the reconstruction, government support and security tasks in Baghlan Province to the Afghan governmental and security organs.

  • Besides the Hungarian troops, 34 foreign military personnel (Montenegrin, Croatian and Albanian) are serving in Hungarian subordination.
  • The Provincial Reconstruction Team is not tasked with participating in the ongoing military operations in Baghlan Province.
  • Since October 2006, more than 2,500 Hungarian troops have served with the Provincial Reconstruction Team.
