Minister for Rural Development Sándor Fazekas took part in the Hungaricum festival entitled "Greetings from Hungary" early on Wednesday afternoon on Brussels' historical main square.

The four-day festival, timed to coincide with the end of the Hungarian Presidency of the EU, left visitors spoiled for choice. In addition to displays of Hungarian arts and crafts, gastronomy and wine, folk dancers and musicians also did their utmost to popularise everything that is Hungaricum. A significant role was also given to travel agencies presenting tourist opportunities in Hungary.

The Minister's programme continued in the European Parliament with the wine exhibition organised by László Tőkés. In his speech at the event that presents the Carpathian Basin's historical wine-producing regions, Sándor Fazekas spoke about culture and the role and strength of winemaking in preserving important values, before passing on the wine baton to the next President, the Minister for Agriculture from Poland.
