Office of the State Secretary

The Office of the State Secretary directs the Ministry’s organisation, and ensures its coordinated operation. It prepares the Ministry’s organisational and operational regulations, makes proposals on the Ministry’s work schedule and continuously monitors implementation of the work schedule.

State Secretariat for Parliamentary Affairs

The State Secretariat for Parliamentary Affairs carries out specific tasks defined by the Minister, and takes part in developing and representing the Ministry’s standpoint. The Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs directs the mechanisms for reaching cross-party agreement, and gives opinions on plans developed in the course of the Ministry’s preparation of legislation.

State Secretariat for Municipal Affairs

The State Secretariat for Municipal Affairs gives specialist guidance in the areas of settlement development and construction affairs, and in disaster prevention, as related to local government. It collaborates in planning the state budget related to local government, and participates in its implementation.

Deputy State Secretariat for Regulation Affairs and Coordination

The Office oversees the codification of legislation related to its remit, the announcement of ministerial directives, and the release for publication of legal instruments related to state direction issued by the minister.

Deputy State Secretariat for Financial Affairs and Information Technology

The main task of the office of the Deputy State Secretariat for Financial Affairs and Information Technology is to coordinate the economic and information technology of bodies under the direction of the Minister of Interior, to define the branch’s developmental directions and assist in their implementation.

Deputy State Secretariat for EU and International Affairs

The Deputy State Secretariat for EU and International Affairs prepares guidelines for the Ministry’s international activities, successfully coordinated Hungary’s 2011 presidency of the European Union, and carries out ministerial tasks related to it.

Deputy State Secretariat for Regional Development and Construction

The Deputy State Secretariat for Regional Development and Construction is responsible for determining specialist regulations related to spatial planning in settlements, analysing trends in spatial planning, developing legislative proposals, overseeing the implementation of subsequent decisions, directing implementation of legislation and initiating measures necessary to achieve this.

Deputy Secretariat for Public Employment

The Deputy State Secretariat for Public Employment is responsible for developing the Government’s standpoint connected to public employment and coordinates the political tasks related to this field. The Deputy Secretariat of Public Employment also defines the toolkit of public employment, supervises and analyses its operation and regulates the public employment-related tasks of the labor centers and branch offices.
