A new, state-of-the-art digital subtraction angiography (DSA) was installed at the National Institute of Clinical Neurosciences (NICN).

This third generation, premium diagnostics device helps the quick and efficient treatment of brain haemorrhage and certain cases of acute stroke through minimal exposure direct digital imaging technology.

The NICN’s objective - through closely collaborating with the recently established Comprehensive Stroke Centre within the framework of the National Stroke Programme - is to provide the most effective treatment to victims of seizure or patients threatened by stroke.

As the most prestigious center for Hungarian neurosciences, the staff at NICN hopes that the next generation of DSA devices will make it possible to perform all necessary examinations as well as the intervention itself at the same place, with a single equipment, thereby reducing the critical period before treatment to a minimum.
