Between 7 and 11 April 2014 a joint operation is going to take place on the Danube with ten participating countries, initiated by the Ministry of Interior of Hungary.

At the one-week-long operation, along with the law enforcement authorities of the Danube countries Europol, Frontex and EUBAM are participating as well. The aim of the joint operation is to increase internal public security in the member countries and to provide a basis for the future cooperation in the fields of education, technical developments and exchange programs, as well as the establishment of the Joint Coordination Centre in Mohács.
The operation is exceptional, since this is the first international joint cooperation to include non-EU law enforcement authorities. (Serbia, Moldova, Ukraine)
